FRICK ART & HISTORICAL CENTER

The Frick offers an array of FREE activities for the entire family. Explore the first floor of Clayton, the restored home of the Frick family, discover amazing vehicles in the Car and Carriage Museum, and view fine and decorative art at The Frick Art Museum. Scavenger hunts for kids and take-home art activities!


SENATOR JOHN HEINZ HISTORY CENTER

From the French & Indian War to the Super Bowl-winning Steelers, discover 250 years of Pittsburgh history at the Senator John Heinz History Center. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the History Center is the largest history museum in Pennsylvania and includes the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum.


SOCIETY FOR CONTEMPORARY CRAFT
Free Admission 10am-5pm
2100 Smallman Street (Strip District)
Explore meats re-imagined as stuffed toys and pillows, as well as an exhibit of textiles, small metals and ceramics created by three women artists who represent diverse cultures. Make art yourself in the drop-in studio and from 11 am to 2 pm, try your hand at a craft project demonstrated by a visiting artist.


AUGUST WILSON CENTER FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN CULTURE

Free activities all day long!�@ After the African American Heritage Day Parade, come to the August Wilson Center for children’s activities, docent-led tours and new exhibits!

Free walk-on activities onboard Explorer at dock only. Visit the world’s first green educational vessel and take part in free environmental science activities.
