Before I had kids my husband and I always said, "oh, we'll always go on a weekly date, no matter what". Yes, that was BEFORE we had kids.
Then our child was born and 3 months went by and we realized we hadn't been on a date.
Then, when we wanted to go on a date, who do we ask to baby-sit?
Then, we find a baby-sitter and if we pay the baby-sitter then that uses up our date money...
Does this sound familiar to anyone else???!
Well, now we are lucky enough to [ I THINK ] have found a solution. Another family with kids and us will swap baby-sitting and date nights (though it will be once a month!) I hope everyone can find something like this that works for them! And who knows, you may find that other family through our play group. :)

In the cozy new performance space at Pittsburgh Opera’s headquarters (2425 Liberty Avenue) in the Strip District, friends, families and Pittsburghers of all ages are invited to come enjoy an intimate concert of some of opera’s most popular arias as well as a mix of Broadway, musical theater and other surprises. These concerts are a wonderful opportunity for an informal introduction to opera. Guests can even meet the performers after the show!
