Honoring Dads this Father's Day (super giveaway!)

Dads are so important in the lives of kids and there are so many amazing dads out there that are encouraging their kid's hearts by the love, care and time they give to their children's lives. So this Father's Day, I wanted to have the chance to give a couple of dads some extra moments of fun with their family. I have partnered up with three local Pittsburgh venues that my family loves and I hope your family will love doing these activities together as well!

Three fantastic Pittsburgh venues for family fun are offering these prizes:

If you haven't had a chance to cruise aboard the GCF, you are missing out on a special Pittsburgh experience! Riding on the boat on the river through our beautiful city is the best way to travel. You might learn some fun facts about Pittsburgh that you never realized and you'll definitely take in some gorgeous views.

And what could make the cruise any better? Well, fantastic food, of course! GCF is offering 4 tickets to one lucky winner for their Chicken & Ribs Dinner Cruise
This cruise happens every Tuesday & Thursday from June - August! Boards at 6pm, sails from 7-9pm.

Menu:
  • Hickory Smoked Barbecued Pork Ribs
  • Whole Chicken Leg with Peach BBQ Glaze
  • Quartered Red Skin Potatoes with Parsley
  • Buttered Corn on the Cobb
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Slow Roasted Baked Beans with Sweet Sausage
  • Creamy Cole Slaw
  • Chocolate Mocha & Apple Spiced Cake
  • Fresh Dinner Rolls & Corn Muffins with Butter
  • Hot Coffee & Tea Service

This summer they will also be offering a wine tasting dinner, kid-friendly Pirate dinner, picnic luncheon, and a family favorite, the Good Ship Lollipop Cruise + many more!

And don't miss.....kids ride for $1 on sightseeing cruises over holiday weekends this summer!

Everyone knows that sports in Pittsburgh is a really big deal. (Hello, Stanley Cup Champions!!) One of our newest & most affordable Pittsburgh sports is the Riverhounds Soccer team. In the beautiful river setting of Station Square, you and your family can enjoy a night of family fun with the world's most popular sport.

There are only 10 games left in the home season for this summer, so head here to purchase tickets!

This past fall, my family had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Monroeville. If you have ever wanted to find an activity to burn energy for your kids and burn calories for yourself, this is is! At Sky Zone you can bound on the trampolines, play basketball or dodgeball, jump into the foam pit or take a fitness class. It's a great venue to do as a family!

Sky Zone provides you with Sky Socks for jumping and they separate jumpers by age and size. They highly recommend you reserve your time slot online ahead of time to avoid sell outs. They are closed on Mondays. Go here for more info about Sky Zone!

I am so blessed to see the amount of time and effort my husband puts into being a dad. Watching play superheroes with our daughter all day while he does yard work and she shadows him, or stopping everything to deal with a cranky kid who "needs" to be tickled tackled, I realize the humble, selfless love that he has for his family. We are blessed.

I love that my husband is involved in our two boys lives the way he is, he adores them. Not too many men now a day step up and do their part with their children and that just makes me even more proud of him. You usually hear that boys are mommas boys...well nope our son is such a daddy's boy. It's adorable whether it's playing cars , ball outside or saving his favorite candy all day until daddy gets home from work to share. And I'm sure our son on the way will be the same.

I grew up without a dad--so the amount of joy I take in seeing my husband be present, loving, and engaged in the life of my girls is overwhelming to me. It's the most special gift to our family.

I don't know: there are too many things to love about being a father to list one here. Here's just one random example of something to love about being a father: when she grips your arm on an amusement park ride, smiling and enjoying herself yet gripping so hard. She knows you're there and that gives her a little more permission to enjoy the thrill.

I love watching my husband doing the simple things with our kids. I love watching him help them with the tasks I usually do and watch their faces as he does things "his way". They love spending time with daddy and family time is the best!!! He is a wonderful father!!

I love watching my husband play with our daughters. He can always make them laugh. It's contagious! My father is amazing because he can fix anything! He will always be there to help too. We just moved to Pittsburgh and he helped us move all day! He then figured out how to put a gate at the top of our stairs to keep his granddaughters safe.

Every year my amazing husband who took on 2 stepchildren gets the short end of the stick for fathers day because our daughters B-Day is the week before! This year he did everything in his power to make sure that she had and when fathers day came we couldn't afford to do much. He is such an amazing husband, provider, father and best friend who deserves to have something special done for him for once! Thank you for allowing the opportunity for this drawing!

I love that my husband is so good at playing with our four kids. Just today he went straight from work to the Y so he could play in the pool with them. And he hates swimming!

I love that my husband is committed to caring for our kids from hard places. He learns and grows every day so that he can be the best dad he can be and so that he can redeem the title of "Father" for kids who might not have had the best father before him.
