Move with Art
Opens at The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh this weekend!
March 2 - May 12, 2013
A showcase of original hands-on exhibits created from seven years of the Children’s Museum’s Tough Art program and other programs. Highlights include:
- Giant, a 10-foot wooden man you can move with levers, by David Butts (2008)
- The Beast, a large wooden cow that "eats" rubber balls, by Nova Jiang (2010)
- Step into the swirling air of the Whirlwind Room (2010) Created for the Whoosh! exhibit
- Kaleidoscope, a giant version of this classic toy created from a rotating table, video projector and materials you add, by Christina Zaris (2011)
- Ferrous Wheel, a spinnable wheel that translates shapes to tones, by Matt Mets (2009)
- Silly Faces 2.0, a video capture system that displays a dynamic palette of visitors' 5-second facial expressions, by Amanda Long (2010, updated 2013)

Create a dance with contemporary dance company Attack Theatre! Meet the dancers at an art piece in the brand new Move With Art exhibit. Contribute YOUR ideas through a fast-paced game of questions, ideas and scribbles - then watch as the dancers transform the audience's suggestions into an original dance before your eyes! Experience art, dance and the creative process in these fun and interactive performance events live in the Move with Art exhibit.
Daily on Opening Weekend
March 2-3 at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.
