Soergel Orchards Fall Festivals Throughout October, Soergel Orchards is holding Fall Festivals each weekend, as well as Monday, October 10 (Columbus Day). Pick out a pumpkin (additional cost), enjoy kid’s activities, games, hayrides, great food (additional cost) and more! October 10, 2011: Columbus Day Festivities 11am-4pm Hayrides to the Pumpkin Patch, face painting, duck pond, hay tunnel, cornstalk maze and more from 11am-4pm. Tyke Hikes Halloween Party  Frick Park, Pittsburgh PA (visit website for details)  Thursday, October 27, 2011  10 am until noon Cost: $5 per family  Venture Outdoors’ annual Halloween Tyke Hike. Take a traditional Tyke Hike through Frick Park and finish with trick or treats and holiday crafts. Feel free to dress up in costume! Cost is only $5 per family (up to 4) and pre-registration is required.

Family Lantern Tours at Depreciation Lands Museum Depreciation Lands Museum, 4743 S. Pioneer Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101  Saturday, October 22, 2011  Tours run from 6pm until 9:15pm (last tour departs at 9:15 pm) Cost: $3 kids & $5 adults  Guided tours of the Museum and cemetery by lantern light. Enjoy stories, superstitions and customs from the past. The tour ends with cookies and hot cider. This event is family friendly, although somewhat scarier stories will be told after 8:30.
